CAML Ethics Committee

Clinical and translational research are becoming increasingly dependent on collaborative networks. At CAML, an interdisciplinary interaction that takes advantage of the distinctive characteristics of each CAML Institution can boost an integrated and competitive clinical research.

The CAML Ethics Committee manages all the ethic aspects of CAML medical activity, research involving human subjects and education involving patients. The Committee is composed by representatives of the three branches of CAML and have regular meetings for the evaluation and discussion of the projects submitted.

The CAML Ethics Commitee management structure is located on the 8th floor of Hospital de Santa Maria. It is composed by representatives of the 3 CAML pillars. The president combines the roles of FMUL professor, CHULN doctor and of coordinator of a research unit at iMM. The operations are supported by 1 CHULN staff member. The CAML Ethics Committee manages all the ethic aspects of CAML medical activity, research involving human subjects and education involving patients.
